UN Women
mi último silencio
2025—05
Women face violence on a daily basis, and, unfortunately, this silence continues to be the most common response to these situations. A silence that almost all of us see as harmless, but which normalizes violence and makes it difficult for women to receive help.
For this reason, UN Women is launching the campaign “My Last Silence” in Latin America and Spain, with the aim of generating reflection and activating a change in people: that of never again remaining silent. This problem has been attacked many times, but always in a unilateral way, either blaming men or victimizing women, which creates a need to change the approach and speak to all people, regardless of their gender. And this is how The Last Silence was born, a campaign that makes us change the look of who is part of the problem and see our environment and the people in it differently. For example, if we see that a friend controls who his girlfriend hangs out with or sends intimate photos without permission in a WhatsApp group.
